After Barcelona blew a 3-0 goal advantage against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, Luis Suarez has revealed that was the worst moment in his career and life.
Barcelona registered a three-goal lead in the first leg courtesy of a brace from Lionel Messi and a goal by Luis Suarez. Liverpool, however, staged an improbable comeback in the second leg with Divock Origi starting the comeback in the seventh minute before Georginio Wijnaldum scored a brace to make it 3-3 on aggregate. Origi was on hand to complete the comeback in the 79th minute.
In an interview with Fox Sports, Suarez termed the defeat as one of the worst in his life, "The days after back in Barcelona were the worst moments of my life and career along with the 2014 World Cup, I wanted to disappear from the world. I didn't want to take my children to school, everyone could see I was in a very bad way, I had days I didn't want to do anything, they were very difficult moments."
Jurgen Klopp's side went on to win the whole competition, beating Tottenham in the final just a few weeks later.
