Manchester City have reportedly made the signing of Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly a priority, and are ready to make a €95 million (£85m/$016m) bid according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Senegal international is said to be keen on working under Pep Guardiola and might be ready to make the move if the right offer comes in.
Napoli are said to be willing to free up some funds for the signing of James Rodriguez and Hirving Lozano, who might be arriving in Naples in the coming weeks.
City might face competition from Liverpool for his signature, with manager Jurgen Klopp understood to be keen on finding Virgil Van Dijk's perfect partner at the heart of the Reds defence.
Koulibaly's contract runs until 2023, meaning the Naples side could play hardball for one of their prized assets.
The Senegal international had another stellar season in 2018/19 and was the only player in Serie A with more than 2100 passes.
He only missed two games through suspension, helping the side to 14 clean sheets in the 33 games he played in the 2018-19 campaign.
The 27-year-old is currently with his national side in Egypt ready for the Africa Cup of Nations.
