The in-demand defensive midfielder is in Tottenham's sights after the London club reportedly agreeing on an initial €62m fee with Lyon but personal terms must still be finalised.
Ndombele's impressive performances for Lyon in 2018/19 have made him a top target for a host of clubs across Europe, with the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and PSG all being linked with the 22-year-old.
It now appears that Tottenham has jumped to the head of the queue for Ndombele's signature, according to L'Equipe, with aa €62m said to have been agreed. With bonuses, the deal might rise to as much as €72m, which would make the 22-year-old Frenchman the most expensive signing in Tottenham's history.
However, Spurs must still agree on personal terms with Ndombele and the player is said to be cautious to not make a rushed decision on his future.
Manchester United registered a brief interest but it's Tottenham that now sits in pole position for Ndombele's coveted signature.
