Stephane Bahoken initially joined his current club SCO Angers back in the summer of 2018, moving from RC Strasbourg.
Bahoken had previously played over 100 games for Strasbourg, before leaving on a free transfer. In those games, he scored 23 goals.
Since making the switch to Angers, the 27-year-old has made 32 Ligue 1 appearances.
Bahoken has found the back of the net 11 times for Angers, who he is contracted to until July 2022.
The Cameroonian is naturally a centre-forward, but he has also played a few games on the left and right wings throughout his career.
According to French outlet L’Equipe, two Premier League sides are showing an interest in Bahoken.
Those clubs are said to be Leicester City and Wolves, with L’Equipe claiming that a meeting is scheduled between Wolves and Angers in Egypt, where Bahoken is currently plying his trade at the African Cup of Nations.
Given that Jamie Vardy is now 32 years of ages, the Foxes could well be eyeing Bahoken as either a replacement or backup for the ex-England international.
As for Wolves, they may see the Ligue 1 forward as competition for Raul Jimenez.
Furthermore, as Wolves qualified for the 2019/20 Europa League, they will need to strengthen their squad due to the number of games they may have to play. And Bahoken could well help with that.
The report from L’Equipe does not name a fee for Bahoken, but they do mention that Angers would be willing to part with him for the right price.
