Dropped AFC Leopards keeper joins Rwandese side
Dropped AFC Leopards keeper Erick 'Bakame' Ndayishimiye has joined Rwanda Premier League side AS Kigali for an undisclosed period.
Ndayishimiye joined Leopards in November 2018 from Rwandese side Rayon Sports on a two-year deal but he has since been considered surplus to required by the Andre Casambungo side ahead of the new 2019/20 Kenyan Premier League season.
The keeper had to fight for a place against Jairus Adira and Ezekiel Owade and in a season that saw Leopard's finish eleventh on the league log.
Apart from the keeper, AS Kigali has acquired the services of former Rwanda skipper Harun Niyonzima from Tanzania giants Simba SC and defender Michel Rusheshongoga from league rivals APR.
The trio will hope that their addition will be helpful to the team as they represent Rwanda in the CAF Confederations Cup.
The keeper was among the eight players released by Leopards early this week. The others released by the team including winger Wayi Yeka and Ivan Sekazza who left the club by mutual consent.
Marcel Kaheza whose loan deal was terminated, Aziz Okaka, Paul Were and David Ochieng whose contracts ended and Shami Kibwana whose loan deal from KCB FC ended.
