Ghanaian forward arrives in SA

News coming out of the SuperSport United camp say that Shafiu Mumuni has arrived in Pretoria for trials.

SuperSport's potential signing, Mumuni, is a 24-year-old striker from Ghana Premier League’s Ashanti Gold, and scored five goals in 12 games during last season’s campaign.

“A Ghanaian striker has landed in South Africa and is looking to join a club in the Absa Premiership for the 2019/20 season,” reported Soccer Laduma.

Mumuni was also wanted by Ghanaian giants  Asante Kotoko in September last year, where AshGold’s president Kwaku Frimpong “Champion” responded with a warning that his man won't come cheap.

“If Asante Kotoko SC really want Shafiu Mumuni as reported then they should write to us so we do business," said the boss via FootballMadeinGhana.

“But they must know his price will be affected by the fact that he scored a hat trick against them only that the referee strangely disallowed one. He will not come at a cheap cost. He will be expensive,” said Frimpong at the time.
