Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that he will need to sign a world-class midfielder before the start of next season.
Solskjaer and United have been in the hunt for new additions and now sees a good midfielder as one of his other priorities.
United has so far secured the signatures of Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with reports indicating the club has agreed on a world-record fee for defender Harry Maguire.
The club has also been chasing Newcastle’s Sean Longstaff, but the Magpies' £50million valuation has seen them cool off their pursuit.
“I never had the honor of playing with Robbo, but we need a player like him in the team," he said referring to one of the club's great Bryan Robson.
“We need to win again. We are on the way to building a new squad. We've got new staff in, coaching staff. I believe so much in this club and this project," he added.
The club is rebuilding under the Norwegian coach, who took charge of the team towards the end of last season.
He, however, faces a race against time to secure targets, with the new Premier League season under a month away.
There are question marks lingering on his players' heads as well, with Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, and David De Gea all thought to be on their way out.
