With just three weeks left to the new English Premier League season, Antonio Rudiger has provided a new injury update revealing that he is close to a return.
The German was forced from the field during Chelsea's 1-1 Premier League draw with Manchester United in April, missing the final five games of the season, including the Europa League final victory over Arsenal.
The injury on his left knee meniscus required the player to go under the knife to get the problem rectified, and Rudiger has since been undergoing rehabilitation in order to be fit as soon as is possible. It is, however, unknown if the German will be back in time for the season opener ironically against Manchester United.
Rudiger took to Twitter to post a video of him running on his own outside which was accompanied by the caption, "Every day one step closer #Hustle #AlwaysBelieve #comebackwork."
