Leipzig's sporting director Markus Krosche has confessed it was difficult signing Ademola Lookman on a permanent deal from Everton.
Lookman, who spent the second half of the 2017/18 season on loan with the Bundesliga outfit, signed a five-year contract in a deal believed to be worth £22.5 million.
“It was a long process all in all, especially as we wanted to sign him last summer,” said Leipzig's sporting director Markus Krosche.
“Nevertheless, we remained determined and that paid off for us.
“Ademola convinced us immensely during his time on loan here and will now quickly re-integrate and further enhance our attacking play with his dynamic ability.”
While on loan at RB Leipzig, Lookman was involved in 9 goals (5 goals, 4 assists) in 11 Bundesliga appearances.
