Sofapaka FC midfielder Justin Mico has crossed over to Rwanda with Police FC acquiring his services for an undisclosed period.
The midfielder was among the new faces unveiled by the lawmakers in a ceremony held at Kicukiro Stadium on Wednesday.
Police took the stage too to unveil their new coach in Burundian Francis Haringingo and his new technical bench that consists of Claude Rwaka as the assistant coach and Ikamba Mpinu Lems who is the team’s new goalkeeping coach.
As quoted by Rwandese tabloid the Times, Haringingo said: “I am happy to join Police. They are a team with ambitions to win trophies, and I am pleased to win the management’s trust.
“Our target is to revive the name of Police FC, and that means we have to give the best in fighting for titles. All that I request for was given; I have good players and we are ready for the challenge in the new season.”
Haringingo and Rwaka were a coach and assistant coach at Mukura Victory Sport, respectively, last season while Ikamba joined the law enforcers from archrivals Rayon Sports.
This is the second time Mico will be featuring for Police after leaving the team one year ago to join Sofapaka.
