Everton deny making second bid for Zaha

Everton have not made a second bid for Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha involving cash-plus-players, the club has confirmed.

The Toffees entered the race for Zaha last week and admitted making the first bid for the Ivorian but have denied no second offer made.

"Everton Football Club categorically denies that a bid has been submitted to Crystal Palace for Wilfried Zaha that included an increased sum plus Cenk Tosun and James McCarthy,” a statement from the club read.

"Everton and Crystal Palace have a very good relationship. A bid was made over the weekend which was turned down. Both clubs agreed that was the end of the matter."

Zaha, who has netted 53 goals in 323 appearances across two spells at Selhurst appeared to be joining Arsenal but the Gunners now poised to complete a deal for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.
