Chelsea handed massive injury boost ahead of Manchester United clash

Ahead of their English Premier League opener against Manchester United, Chelsea have been handed a massive injury boost with Antonio Rudiger resuming training with the team.

Chelsea have a number of injury concerns with N'Golo Kante, Willian, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Reece James all on the treatment table. Rudiger suffered a meniscus injury last season when playing against Manchester United but has been doing some light running outside at the training ground.

The German defender took to Twitter to provide an update on his injury, "Always focused on progress. Taking another big step next week: training with the team again." It, however, remains unlikely that he will feature against United on Sunday 11th August.
