Lyon forward Bertrand Traore has emerged as West Ham United's transfer target as they looking to strengthen the striking department before the close of the transfer window.
Traore who plied his trade with Chelsea for three-years scored 11 goals for Lyon across all competitions and helped inspired his side to a third finish on the Ligue 1 table.
The Burkina Faso international had loan spells with Ajax Amsterdam and Vitesse and according to 90min reports, West Ham have inquired about his availability.
However, reports suggest that Lyon will only release him if he is to be bought by the club that is interested in him and will not be taking loan offers - which may prove impossible for West Ham as they recently bought Eintracht Frankfurt's Sebastien Haller as their marquee signing.
Marko Arnautovic, Lucas Perez and Andy Carroll have all left the club for other game-time opportunities and Jordan Hugill has been shipped out on loan to Queens Park Rangers.
It is yet to be seen if West Ham will be able to strike a deal with Lyon in time before the transfer window closes on Thursday, August 8 - and maybe the Ligue 1 club may have change of heart.
