Nigerian striker Kayode joins Turkish club on loan

Nigerian striker Olanrewaju Kayode has joined Turkish Super League club Gazisehir Gazianyep FK on a season-long loan from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Kayode endured a torrid time at Ukrainian side Donetsk after suffering injury and poor game time that saw him make just seven appearances last season.

Kayode has now joined other Nigerian players like John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses and Ogenyi Onazi among others in Turkey.

The 26-year-old has played for Luzern (Switzerland), Maccabi Netanya (Israel), Austria Wien (Austria), Manchester City (England) and Girona (Spain).
