After being relegated from the Kenyan Premier League, Vihiga United has stepped up their preseason training as they gear to participate in the National Super League.
The team has lined up a series of games this week as they integrate new faces in the team with the club saying they were not yet done with the signings in one of their Facebook posts.
In the statement, Vihiga said: “VUFC (Vihiga United FC) technical bench is almost through with players recruitment exercise.
“The club has lined up several pre-season build up matches in Kisumu, Nakuru, and Kericho starting this Wednesday.
United vs Premier League side Kisumu Allstars at Moi Stadium, Kisumu starting 9 am.
Kisumu Hotstars vs United at 2 pm
St Joseph FC vs United...Afraha Stadium before playing Nakuru Water Bark FC
Zoo Kericho vs United in Kericho.
New players will be unveiled by club president Hon Indimuli Kahi the last weekend of this month.
The team finished second-last in the KPL log last season and will hope for a quick bounce back to the top flight when they take on the rest of the teams in the nation's second tier.
