16-year-old striker Luis Miguel Nlavo has been included in the Equatorial Guinea squad that is set to face South Sudan in next month's World Cup qualifiers.
Nlavo, who turns 17 in November, is among the 25 players that have been summoned by head coach Angel Lopez for the Qatar 2022 preliminaries slated between 2 and 10 September where the Sudanese will host the first leg.
The young striker featured and scored in both legs of their 5-4 aggregate win over Chad in the African Nations Championship qualifiers.
Veteran center-back Rui da Gracia Gomes, 34, has been dropped along with midfielder Carlos Martin Briones, otherwise known as Charly.
Former West ham midfielder Pedro Obiang, now back in Italy with Sassuolo, and captain Emilio Nsue, who plays in Cyprus with Apollon are some of the notable names in the squad.
