Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has revealed the Bundesliga side rejected an approach from an unnamed European giant for forward Jadon Sancho.
Sancho, who left Manchester City in 2017 has been linked with a return to the Premier League with Manchester United keen to land the youngster. However, the deal failed to materialize and despite Watzke revealed there was an offer, he refused to reveal which team made contact.
“A chief of one of the super clubs asked me if there was a chance [to sign him],” Watzke told Ruhr Nachrichten.
“I told him he should forget about it and he never contacted me again.”
The 19-year-old had superb 2018/19 campaign in which he scored 13 goals in 43 appearances for Dortmund.
