Frank Lampard will be looking for his first win as Chelsea manager when they take on Leicester City and has provided injury updates on Callum Hudson-Odoi, Antonio Rudiger and Willian.
Rudiger has been sidelined since April with a knee problem he picked up in the Manchester United game, whilst Brazil international Willian is recovering from an injury suffered during this summer’s Copa America. Hudson-Odoi is coming back from an awful injury when he ruptured his Achilles' tendon towards the back-end of last season against Burnley.
Speaking in a press conference ahead of the Leicester clash, Lampard provided injury updates on the trio, "He (Hudson-Odoi) is getting closer, he has trained over the last week or two with the Under-23s, there is going to be a period of conditioning work for him.
"The injury looks good which is great news. Then he is going to have to be fitter than he has ever been because I want him to run. Rudiger is training. Whether he is completely match fit is another thing, for the same reason as Callum. A bit of "condition. Same thing as Willian, Willian is probably closer. They are both in contention for the weekend."
