Real Madrid marquee summer signing Eden Hazard could be in line to make his LaLiga debut sooner than expected after suffering a thigh injury which was initially expected to sideline him for three to four weeks.
After a thorough scan by the club's medical team, the Belgian will be ready to make his debut against Villarreal on Matchday 3. Hazard picked up the injury in training ahead of the first game of the season against Celta Vigo and was expected to be out for almost a month, but staff have been impressed by his recovery.
Madrid were not lucky in pre-season as three of their players suffered injuries in the name of Hazard, Rodrygo Goes, and Ferland Mendy, all of whom joined the club in the summer. The latest development now means that Hazard will also be available for Belgium's upcoming European Championship 2020 qualifiers against San Marino and Scotland.
