Gor Mahia, Bandari out to save CAF status

Gor Mahia and Bandari FC, Kenya representatives in the CAF Club competitions, will know their fate this weekend when they face their opposition for a place in the first round.

Of the two, Gor has an upper hand in qualifying after holding Burundi's Aigle Noir in the first leg away from home with the Steve Pollack side set to host their opponents at the MISC Kasrani for the second leg on Sunday 25 August.

Bandari, on the other hand, will be travelling to Sudan to take on Al Ahly Shandy for their second leg Friday 23 August this after battling to a scoreless draw at the MISC Kasarani last week.

Aggregate Win

Should Bandari go through on aggregate, they will face off with either of Tunisian side US Ben Guerdane or South Sudanese side Amarat United in the first round.

A win against Aigle for Gor Mahia should hand them a date with AS SONIDEP (Niger) or USM Alger (Algeria) in the second round of the CAF Champions League.
