The South African Football Association (SAFA) have secured a friendly game where Bafana Bafana will battle Zambia.
With the FIFA international break coming up on the first week of September, SAFA have made a late confirmation that will see Bafana Bafana take on Zambia in Lusaka.
With Stuart Baxter’s successor yet to be named, interim coach Molefe Ntseki is due to take charge of the dressing room and bench.
“Bafana Bafana will play Chipolopolo of Zambia at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka on Saturday, 7 September 2019 in a friendly international match. That match kicks off at 15h00,” confirmed SAFA on their website.
Bafana are expected to face very familiar players who play their football for some of South Africa’s most-followed clubs Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
Zambian players set to face Bafana:
- Justine Shonga (Pirates)
- Augustine Mulenga (Pirates)
- Lazarous Kambole (Chiefs)
- Austin Muwowo (Pirates).
The last time Bafana met Chipolopolo was a 2-0 win for South Africa in March 2018 where Percy Tau and Lebohang Mothiba found the net.
