CAF CL: Zesco United out to 'electrocute' Green Mamba

Zambian Super League Champions Zesco United will this afternoon square off with Eswatini’s Green Mamba in their CAF Champions League preliminary round second leg encounter at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Zesco has a two-goal advantage going into this tie having won two-nil away thanks to goals from Umaru Kasumba and John Ching'andu.

The Ndola giants are the favorites and have a good home record in CAF inter-club competitions. With the fans behind them, Zega Mambo is expected to record another win.

The match will not, however, be easy as Mamba have nothing to lose and will throw everything at Zesco United as they look to cause an upset.

Kenyan striker Jesse Jackson Were who is Zesco United all-time top goalscorer limped off in the Charity shield loss to Sensational Zanaco but he has been declared fit and is expected to lead that attack with Kasumba much to the delight of the Zesco United faithful.

The winner of the encounter will face either Tanzania Young Africans or Township Rollers of Botswana in the next round of the Competition.
