Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has said that they are ready to take on North London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs in week four of EPL action.
Speaking ahead of the game, Xhaka told the Arsenal website: “We have nothing to take from this game or other games because it's a derby and we know how important it is for the fans, the club and for us.
“We have shown in the last few years that we can have very good games against them. Let's start getting ready this week so we're ready to play against Spurs."
The sentiments come a day after the team fell to a 3-1 loss at the hands of Liverpool in Anfield with Xhaka having been the captain in the tie.
Arsenal has been victorious in the same fixture in the past two campaigns, winning 4-2 last season and will hope that the loss against Liverpool doesn’t dent them.
The Gunners started brightly at Anfield and had several chances to open the scoring before Joel Matip's header put the hosts in front.
A second-half brace from the Reds' Mohamed Salah then put the game beyond doubt following two errors by new signing David Luiz, before Lucas Torreira grabbed a late consolation.
