Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga scored a brace as Kashiwa Reysol emerged 4-0 winners over Gifu in a Japanese J2 league played on Sunday 25 August.
Visitors Reysol took a seventh-minute lead through Cristiano d Silva with Jiro Kamata doubling their lead in the 28th minute
Olunga ensured that his team went to the breather with a healthy three-goal lead with a goal in the 34th minute before putting the game past the hosts with another goal in the 59th minute.
Place at the Top
The win cements Kashiwa’s place at the top of the J2 league with 58 points as they seek to bounce straight back to the Japanese top-flight league after being related to the lower tier last season.
The Harambee Stars main man who has now bagged 14 goals in 20 appearances for his club this season will hope he can add to his tally when they host Aibirex Niigata in their next league game slated for Saturday 31 August.
