Everton suffer blow as Jean-Philippe Gbamin sustains thigh injury

​Everton have reportedly suffered a massive blow to the squad after new recruit Jean-Philippe Gbamin sustained a thigh injury as reported by Sports Mole. 

Gbamin was not Everton's the matchday squad in the game against Aston Villa on Friday night where the Toffees suffered a 2-0 defeat. 

BBC Sport has revealed that the 23-year-old could be out of action for approximately three months however Everton are set to assess the severity of the injury this week.

Gbamin joined the Premier League outfit from Mainz 05 during the summer transfer window and played in Everton's two season openers against Crystal Palace and Watford

The Merseyside club spent approximately £25million for the Ivory Coast international's service after Idrissa Gueye moved on to Paris Saint-Germain.
