Leeds United wantaway Laurens De Bock struggles to secure deal in Greece

Greek media outlet Sportime have revealed that Laurens De Bock's transfer to Aris Thessaloniki from Leeds United has failed to materialise.

De Bock has not made any appearances for Leeds since March 2018 after he was acquired by Thomas Christiansen and reports reveal that he is not on Marcelo Bielsa's first-team plans.

The 26-year-old was shipped out on loan to Belgian outfit KV Oostende but after making 20 appearances across all competitions he has failed to make an impact for The Whites.

Sportime claim that because of sporting director Dinos Diamantopoulos’s departure from Aris, the intended deal for De Bock will not be going through without further explanations from the Greek side.

The left-back made a mere seven appearances for Leeds since his initial move and now he keeps falling out of favour as Barry Douglas and Gjanni Alioski continue to rise to the occasion.

Leeds are currently occupying the top of the Championship log after securing a 3-0 victory over Stoke City at the weekend.
