Mali U20 international Dante Amadou set to replace Gideon Mensah at Red Bull Salzburg

Mali U20 international Dante Amadou is in contention to replace Gideon Mensah at Red Bull Salzburg after the Ghanaian emerged as a summer signing for Celtic, Sturm Graz and Zulte Waregam.

Mensah is currently being assessed by Celtic who are said to be looking for a possible replacement for Kieran Tierney who signed with Arsenal during the Premier League summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, Austrian side Sturm Graz wants to resign the player on loan after a magnificent campaign with the club in the second half of last season.

Sporting Director of Sturm Graz has revealed they are weighing their options for the budding left-back and are hoping to negotiate a deal.

"It looks like an intensive week of work and there is the possibility of transfers in both directions," said Günter Kreissl on Sunday.

"We're just in the left-back position and we'll keep our eyes open there as well."
