Chemelil Sugar striker Rashid Athuma was delighted by his debut in the Kenyan Premier League clash against Zoo FC on Sunday.
The Millers suffered a 3-1 defeat in the hands of Zoo FC in the league opener but despite the heavy loss the former Kangemi United FC forward was a happy man. Brian Asewe netted a brace for the hosts with Newton Ondari grabbing the third while Athuma, who came in the second have scored the consolation goal for the visitors.
"I felt good for scoring for my new team,” he said.
“And now my target for the first leg is to score ten as that goal motivated me to work more so that I become the top scorer in the Kenya Premier League said Athuma.
Chemelil will take on defending champions Gor Mahia on September 14, 2019, at Moi Stadium, Kisumu.
