Cristiano Ronaldo urged to return to Spain

Juventus star man Cristiano Ronaldo has been urged to return to Spain by La Liga president Javier Tebas.

Ronaldo left Real Madrid for Juventus in July 2018 but Tebas wants the forward to return to Spain but believes that his absence has not affected Laliga

"I thought that his departure would affect us more, to be honest. However, I prefer the Spanish league with Ronaldo in it than without.

"The Premier League for many years had no Ballon d'Or winners but was still the best league in the world. That's a great job on many levels," Tebas said.

Ronaldo sealed a £105million move to Juventus last summer after nine sensational years at Real Madrid. The Portuguese won 15 major trophies during his stay at Los Blancos, managing to scoop two La Liga titles.

League Success

The first of his league successes, in which Ronaldo scored 46 goals, was masterminded by Jose Mourinho, who is currently waiting for his next managerial project while dabbling in punditry.

La Liga was regarded as the best league in the world when Ronaldo and Lionel Messi were at their peaks, with the high levels of both players making for intense title races down the year.
