Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo earns three times more than any other player in Serie A according to figures released by Gazzetta dello Sport.
Gazzetta reports that the 34-old pockets an astonishing £28m-a-year for the Turin club, with new teammate Matthijs de Ligt a distant second on around £7m.
While it is a common knowledge that the Portuguese player joined the club from Real Madrid for £99m in 2018 is one of the best paid in the game, the game has left many wondering the financial capabilities of the Serie A who have produced some of the best players in the game.
But Ronaldo vindicated his earning by helping Juve to the Serie A title in his debut season after chipping in with 28 goals.
Apart from the earnings from Juventus, German publication Der Spiegal leaked documents showing the former Manchester United forward earns an additional £14.5m a year from Nike.
