Barcelona are reportedly contemplating dropping their interest in Brazil and PSG star Neymar, and in turn, chase his teammate Kylian Mbappe.
The Spanish giants came close to signing Neymar in the recently-closed summer transfer window, but the deal fell through with a few days to the closure of the window.
Neymar remained at the Paris-based side, and on Saturday made his comeback to the team in a mixed night for him that had a sweet ending after he scored a stunner to hand his side the three points in a 1-0 win over Strasbourg.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalans are willing to step up their interest in Mbappe, who is widely expected to leave the club at the end of the current season.
The 20-year-old's contract runs until 2022, but there were reports early in the season that he will not extend his stay at the club, and will instead move abroad.
The Parisians would want to cash on him early enough and might be willing to listen to offers at the end of the season.
Real Madrid are said to be keen on taking him to the Bernabeu, with Zidane a big admirer of his fellow French compatriot.
He has been in phenomenal form for the club, scoring 62 times in 91 appearances including twice in four outings this season.
