10-man Al Hilal forced wasteful Enyimba to a goalless draw in the CAF Champions League second preliminary round first leg game in Aba.
A dorminant Enyimba side lacked a final finish to claim maximum points in Sunday's encounter.
Al Hilal were reduced to 10 men after 20 minutes of action with Nazar Named Nassr given a red card for violent conduct. The defender had stepped on Enyimba defender, Daniel Darkwa, to draw the anger of the match official.
With the numerical advantage, Enyimba patiently worked and waited for the breakthrough as they encamped in their opponent’s territory leaving goalkeeper Theophilus Afelokhai virtually on holidays.
But for the whole duration of the game, the Nigerian club failed to find their way past the Sudanese as both teams postponed the decider till the return leg.
