πŸ‡¬πŸ‡πŸ—£ No Ghana call ups, Latif Blessing threatens nationality switch

Ghana’s Latif Blessing is demanding an international career. The LAFC attacking midfielder has now considered playing for the United State of America.

The 22-year-old believes that his six goals and four assists in 33 American MLS games should warrant a Black Stars invite. Blessing took to the club’s media to express his frustration.

"Not getting a call-up is a difficult thing to deal with and sometimes, I feel disappointed,” Blessing said via LAFC’s Facebook.

“I know that I am playing well but the invitations are not coming through.”

The Accra-born man further revealed that several of his countrymen have asked questions. However, he has not been able to explain why he has not been given an opportunity to where the Black Stars jersey. Though part of Blessing believes his time is coming.

“People in Ghana have been asking why I have not been playing for the national team but then, I am waiting for that invitation. I believe that there are better times ahead.”

The former Liberty Professional man concluded the chat by saying he would not think twice about representing the States. The former Kansas and Swope Park footballer added switching international allegiances is already in process.

"If Ghana is not ready to give me a call-up, I will play for another country that wants me. I need to move forward as a player. Off the United States give me a call-up, I will say yes to it. I am working on getting my passport and documentation that will allow me to stay here and play,” Blessing concluded.

Is Blessing justified? Does he have the quality to dislodge or challenge the likes of Christian Atsu, André Ayew, Thomas Agyepong, and Samuel Owusu?
