Manchester City have a center back crisis after John Stones suffered a muscle injury ahead of Shakhtar Donetsk clash that is expected to keep him out till late October.
Stones suffered the injury in training before City headed out to Ukraine to take on Shakhtar Donetsk in their opening Champions League game of the new campaign. The news comes after star center-back Aymeric Laporte was ruled out for the rest of the year with a long-term injury.
Guardiola confrimed Stones suffered an injury in a training session ahead of the Shakhtar clash, "John Stones got injured this morning. It's a muscular problem, he will be out for four to five weeks. It's an incredible challenge with just one central defender. What we will not do is complain that they are not able to play."
Fernandinho will likely fill in at central defense due to the latest injury, with Kyle Walker also an option.
