Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reacts to Erling Haaland hat trick for FC Salzburg

Following his hat-trick on his UEFA Champions League debut for FC Salzburg, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was delighted to watch Erling Haaland.

The 19-year-old netted a clinical first-half hat-trick in Salzburg's 6-2 Champions League drubbing of Genk on Tuesday night and the Norway international has already plundered three trebles this season. Haaland is the son of former Manchester City midfielder Alfie and played for Solskjaer at Molde before he moved to Austria last year.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of the Astana clash, Solskjaer was asked about Haaland who was managed by the manager's agent Jim Solbakken before switching to Mino Riola, "It was nice watching the game last night. But my focus obviously is on the game tomorrow [against Astana]. It's great watching him and I think everyone in Norway is excited by his development."

Haaland's father was infamously injured by a flying tackle from Solskjaer's former United teammate Roy Keane in a 2001 Manchester derby at Old Trafford.
