The young Kaitano Tembo has another Cup final in only his second season. Last night saw SuperSport United defeat giants Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0 in Pretoria.
A little over 12 months since getting his first head coach appointment, Tembo already a two-time finalist.
A 3-1 aggregate semi-finals win over the mighty Sundowns is nearly winning ‘the final before the final.’
While the 49-year-old lost last season’s MTN8 final to Cape Town City, he not only knows that he has to win his next gold medal opportunity, he is also aware the possibility is much higher. SuperSport will meet Highlands Park, a side that has never reached a Cup final and are only two seasons into the Premier League.
The former Dynamos FC footballer, who moved to South Africa 21 years ago, will lead his side in the 2019 MTN8 final against Park on 5 October at the Orlando Stadium.
