Redbull Salzburg boss Jesse Marsch revealed that he was hopeful of getting something out of Wednesdays UEFA Champions League match against Liverpool at Anfield.
Marsch was however left feeling proud of his side despite failing to pick any points against the defending Champions thanks to their impressive showing on the night.
"Of course we had a hope of taking points back when we made it 3-3. We were very close," he said.
"I am very proud of the team. The important thing is that we learn from this evening."
"We saw we can play at this level. If we play our own football, we always have a chance," he added.
Mohamed Salah scored a brace while Robertson and Sadio Mane chipped in with a goal each as Liverpool recorded a hard-fought 4-3 win over Austrian side Redbull Salzburg.
Hee-Chan Hwang, Takumi Minamino and Erling Braut Haaland scored the goals for Salzburg who nearly upset Liverpool at Anfield.
