🇳🇬➡️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Kanu on Abraham & Tomori: Nigeria can’t beg, players have to beg Nigeria

Nigerian legend Nwankwo Kanu is not sweating the loss of Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori.

Both Chelsea’s Abraham and Tomori (Nigerian descendants) were this week named in England’s national team set-up, meaning the possibility of donning the Super Eagles jersey is gone.

Former Super Eagles and Arsenal star, Kanu, says the news should all just be disregarded. The West Africans have enough to achieve success.

"That's football and I think we have enough quality and we can win matches without them," Kanu said via Sport24.

"We can't continue to beg one player to play for us. Nigeria cannot beg, players have to beg Nigeria,” Kanu added.

Meanwhile, Nigeria are set for quite a high-profile fixture this month. Gernot Rohr’s side will take on Brazil in a friendly clash in Singapore on 13 October.
