Celtic winger James Forrest expresses gratitude to Neil Lennon

​Celtic winger James Forrest has revealed that he hopes to keep repaying manager Neil Lennon for having faith in his abilities as a player.

Forrest has been with the first-team for ten seasons where has featured in approximately 360 matches after Lennon awarded the former his senior debut in May 2010.

The 28-year-old has been a standout player for Celtic - scoring seven goals and involving himself in nine assists across all competitions played. 

The winger has now revealed that Lennon has been the key to his success at the club and admitted that he wouldn't be where he is if the manager did not show his faith in him. 

"When I was playing [Under] 19s he did loads for me and when he stepped up to the first team I was still young and he gave me my debut", Forrest told a press conference (via Inside Futbol).

"Now he is back I want to keep repaying him for the faith he has always shown in me."
