Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has hailed Willian's impact in the last couple of matches, as the Blue juggernaut picks pace.
The team has won four matches in a row in three different competitions, setting a positive atmosphere in the dressing room.
Speaking after Sunday's 4-1 mauling of Southampton at the St. Mary's, Lampard noted he likes the mix of experience and young players, which is the catalyst to the impressive results.
He further picked Willian as the standout player in the last couple of matches, having gained form following an injury that saw him miss the first few matches.
"Willian was the standout today, without a doubt. If you wanted to show our wingers what we want from them, we would show them a video of his work ethic today, and his quality and burst of pace on the ball," he said as quoted by the club's website.
"In the last four or five games, he has been our best player. It’s a great thing to say when you have got players who are examples on the pitch around these young boys," he added.
Willian scored the winner in the Blues' win over Lille in the Champions League in midweek, having also netted the second goal in their 2-0 win Brighton at Stamford Bridge last weekend in the Premier League.
The win against Southampton saw Chelsea move to fifth on 14 points, and will next host Newcastle.
