Fikayo Tomori opens up on breaking Diego Costa's nose and the striker's reaction

Fast-rising Chelsea defender, Fikayo Tomori has revealed how he broke Diego Costa's nose in training back in February 2016.

Tomori has had an impressive season at Chelsea after spending last season on loan at Derby County under the now Blues boss Frank Lampard. His form has not gone unnoticed as he was called up to the England senior squad for the games away to the Czech Republic and Bulgaria.

The 21-year-old center back revealed details of how he broke Costa's nose in training, "I was in school at that point in time. It was in training and obviously it was an accident. I went up for a header and tried to flick the ball backwards.

"He tried to score and he’s headed into the back of my head and that’s when he broke his nose. I didn’t actually know he had done it until the next day when it was all over the papers and I was getting a lot of messages like I had meant to do it. He was alright, he was alright. He didn’t kick me in training after that so it was fine."
