Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi has revealed that he made the conscious decision to stick with the former because he felt it would be ideal for his career as a footballer according to Ghanasoccernet.
Hudson-Odoi was handed a five-year contract that including weekly wages of £120,000 - which eventually put the speculation about his future to rest.
"The club have done so much for me and I'm so thankful for that," he told BBC Sport.
"The decision that I made was a very good one for me and my family. We all thought that it was the right club to be at.
"I've been here all my life, so there's no need to change yet. My mum and dad are happy where they are and I'm happy where I am."
The 18-year-old recently made his return to the squad after a longterm injury and upon his return, he has proven his abilities and continues to repay Frank Lampard's faith in him.
