Giggs gives injury update on Aaron Ramsey

Wales head coach Ryan Giggs says Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey will be given every opportunity to prove his fitness ahead of the team's 2020 qualify match against Croatia.

Ramsey was not part of Wales's 1-1 draw with Slovak after the midfielder suffered an adductor problem while warming up at half time during Juventus' 2-1 victory over Inter Milan last weekend. The former Arsenal man did not travel with his international teammates to Trnava, instead staying at home in Cardiff in a bid to regain fitness for Sunday's clash with the 2018 World Cup finalists Croatia. He trained separately in Wales' session at the Vale Resort on Saturday morning.

"He stayed back with the physio this week. We're just giving him all the time we can. We've still got over 24 hours so we'll see how he is tomorrow morning," Giggs said.

"Aaron's not played in a qualifier yet. You want your best players available, but when I took over I wanted that strength in depth to handle these situations and we've also got players who have come in and done a job."

Wales who are fourth in Group E standings with seven points will take on leaders Croatia, who have 13 points on Sunday 13th at Cardiff City Stadium.
