​The Uganda national team that is currently participating in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) resumed training on Sundya at Lugogo ahead of the return leg against Burundi. 

Two new players were added to the squad, Vipers' Abdul Watambala and Wakiso Giants' Kirizestom Ntambi to replace the injured duo Muzamiru Mutyaba and Allan Kayiwa. 

According to Kawowo, the team returns to non-residential training on Monday under the assistant coach Abdallah Mubiru who later be joined by new head coach Johnathan McKinstry and Charles Mbabazi.

The Uganda Cranes secured a 3-0 victory over Burundi in the first leg of CHAN at Bujumbura and the return leg is set for Saturday, October 13 in Kampala.
