Manchester United head into their clash against Liverpool with up to 12 injury concerns but Virgil van Dijk has revealed that they will not be complacent in the fixture.
David De Gea, Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw, Mason Greenwood, Jesse Lingard, Phil Jones, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Eric Bailly and Diogo Dalot all carry injuries ahead of the clash. Liverpool, on the other hand, welcome Alisson, Joel Matip and Mohamed Salah back from injury.
The Dutch defender revealed how United's injuries will affect Liverpool, "For them, it is not the ideal situation to lose your first-choice goalkeeper, one of the best in the world, and one of their main midfielders. They will be disappointed but for us, we just want to focus on ourselves.
"They’re not in the best way, they’re not fully confident and they’re not in the situation they want to be in. But the good thing about football is you can bounce back in any game."
The clash is slated for Sunday 20th October at Old Trafford in a 6:30 PM (EAT) kick-off.
