Lumwana record first win as Arrows maintain top spot

Lumwana Radiants recorded their first win of the season while Red Arrows continued their fine form maintaining their unbeaten run to stay top of the log.

The MTN/FAZ Super League entered week six on Saturday, October 19th with six entertaining matches taking place all around the country.

Lumwana Radiants welcomed fellow struggling side KYSA and it was their biggest chance of getting their first win of the season. Goals from Emmanuel Manda, Martin Dzilah and Chanida Zulu ensured the Uranium Boys secured an emphatic 3-0 win.

Log leaders Red Arrows made a trip to Mufulira to face struggling Wanderers. The Airmen proved to be too good for the legendary Cup fighters beating them two nil thanks to goals from Evans Musonda and veteran James Chamanga who seems to never stop scoring despite being advanced in age.

The 39-year-old 2012 AFCON winner has now scored four goals in the six games played so far. Arrows have now opened a four-point lead at the summit.

Kabwe Warriors came back from a goal down twice to hold twelve-time Superleague champions to a 2-2 draw.

Elias Maguri continued his good goal scoring form netting a goal as Nakambala Leopards stunned Buildcon beating them 2-0. Former Mufulira Wanderers striker John Goma scored the other goal.

Kansanshi Dynamos came from a goal down to hold Lusaka dynamos to a 1-1 draw while Power dynamos and Nkwazi played to a goalless draw.
