Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has chosen [aris Saint Germain star Kylian Mbappe as the best in the world.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Zlatan who is PSG’s second all-time leading scorer did not name Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo like most would and surprisingly, instead he picked Mbappé.
“Mbappé, to whom I would like to give advice,” Ibrahimovic said. “He had success from a young age, he will always have to work to be hungrier than the others.”
Mbappe has not had the best of starts this season after suffering a hamstring injury against Toulouse FC on August 25 and has struggled to get back to full fitness, missing international duty with France and several games for PSG.
Mbappe had strongly been linked with a move to Real Madrid in the summer and his prowess in the game was shown in his goals last season where top European goalscorer Messi just beat him with three goals.
PSG will hope that they can keep Mbappe for a longer period with reports indicating that the club was already thinking of handing him a new deal that will see him be the highest-paid player in the game.
