Edwin Gyimah has become Ghana’s most traveled player in Mzansi after joining his fifth club in the country within seven seasons.
Gyimah’s latest move was confirmed last Friday from Bidvest Wits to Black Leopards - with the midfielder already making his debut yesterday against Highlands Park.
So what are all the corners of South Africa has Gyimah landed?
🧐 2012 SuperSport United
Gyimah arrived in the country as a complete unknown from Wa All Stars. He enjoyed a decent stay in Pretoria that included a Nedbank Cup title under Gavin Hunt.
🤝 2014-15 Mpumalanga Black Aces
The central midfielder was soon loaned out to Mpumalanga Black Aces. The Ghanian helped Aces comfortably fight off relegation to finish 10th under the tutelage of coach Clive Barker.
☠️ 2015-17 Orlando Pirates
The Ghanian stepped up the elite. The two-year stay with giants Pirates included two Cup silver medals and 38 appearances. Unfortunately, the Sekondi-Takoradi-born footballer left the Buccaneers rather controversially after a shameful bust-up with the then coach Muhsin Ertugral at the Cape Town International airport.
🤔 2018-19 Bidvest Wits
A short stay in Sweden saw Gyimah make a surprise return to Mzansi at Bidvest Wits to reunite with Gavin Hunt. But it would be his worst season in the land. He made just five appearances.
🐆 2019/20 Black Leopards
At the age of 28, the former Black Stars international joined Black Leopards just three days ago. Gyimah joins Lidoda Duvha with the ambitions of helping the side stay in the PSL.
