Alex Iwobi has hailed manager Marco Silva for Everton's 2-0 victory over West Ham.
Everton returned from the international break to claim the victory that took them out of the bottom three, thanks to goals from Bernard and Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Brazilian winger Bernard opened the scoring for the hosts in the 17th minute from a tight angle after he was set up by Theo Walcott, before Sigurdsson, who was an 87th-minute substitute for Iwobi, scored the winner in the 90th minute.
“It was a great team performance and we are all buzzing,” Iwobi told evertontv.
“We needed a turning point and I think today [Saturday] is the day.
“The manager told us after the international break that we had to be confident, to not feel any sort of pressure.
“He said, ‘Just play and express yourselves and be free’.
“We took that into training, and you can see from the players, we were able to do that in the match.”
Everton climbed four places to 14th and within four points of a top-six spot following their weekend success – which curbed a run of four straight Premier League defeats.
