Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has hit back at Patrice Evra following the former Manchester United's comments on Monday night.
Arsenal suffered a 1-0 defeat in the hands of Sheffield United results which saw Evra call the players ‘babies’ before claiming they don’t look like a winning team. Xhaka has hit back at the comments by insisting their belief that the Arsenal's mentally weak away from home is "bulls***".
"Sheffield United deserved the win, but I’m not surprised about Arsenal. I used to call them ‘my babies’ 10 years ago, and they are still when I look at them and think they are ‘my babies’… that’s the truth – I’m not being disrespectful when I say that," he said.
"They look pretty, but they don’t look like a winning team. They like playing good football, but I was so happy to play against them because I knew I was going to win."
"I have a lot of respect for him as he was a great player but you have to be careful what you say. But it is not only him – a lot of people peak a lot of bulls*** about us. It’s always the same. For me it is strange as they were in the same situation as us, they were players as well. Sometimes it is good and sometimes it is not always good but every week they speak bulls*** like this every week," he said.
"I tell you the honest truth, I’m not interested in what people say and speak. We have to speak in our group to improve things and work hard and not listen to these people."
